Overview of the literature describing physical and psychological characteristics of childhood and adolescence, along with the influence of cultural and environmental factors on development. The course then focuses on treatment principles and the application of intervention strategies for addressing common concerns among children and adolescents. Corequisites: SOCW 5311.
