MUSI 3211. EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC. 2 Hours.

This course covers the musical characteristics of children (singing ranges, tonal development, motor development, rhythmic development) and performance activities, which include arranging and improvising folk songs and composed literature. Students will be developing and implementing lesson plans for young children, comparing how music and language are learned, and defining the English Language Proficiency Standards in early childhood music. Open to music majors only. Prerequisites: C or better in MUSI 2112.
