MUSI 3192. JAZZ AND ELECTRIC BASS FUNDAMENTALS. 1 Hour.

This course, for double bass performance majors, will introduce fundamental techniques and skills for playing the double bass and electric bass in jazz, popular, and commercial styles. Prerequisites: C or Better in MUSI 2245 and passing grade on Performance Proficiency exam.

The Bachelor of Music Performance in Orchestra Performance is designed to prepare students for a career in performance and/or a graduate degree in performance through intensive study in applied instruction, literature/pedagogy, and ensemble participation. This may include a career as an orchestral musician, recitalist, chamber musician, or studio/commercial musician.
