Mexican history from its pre-Colonial indigenous foundation to the current situation. A social and economic analysis of the major events in Mexican history with emphasis on the 19th and 20th centuries. The major theme in this class is the growth of Mexican nationalism and its relation to region, religion, and ethnicity.
