Radiation, solar structure, the heliosphere, the solar corona, the solar wind, the interplanetary magnetic field, cosmic rays, the Earth-orbit space environment, and the upper atmosphere. The technological impacts of space storms, the perils of living in space, and the impact of space weather on space mission and spacecraft design decisions. Prerequisite: C or better in MAE 3304.
