This course explores how teachers make informed instructional decisions in response to differences in language proficiency, disability status, readiness levels, and varied learning experiences. Students consider the legal and professional foundations that shape educational practice, particularly in relation to students with disabilities, multilingual learners, and students identified for advanced academic services. They examine advanced instructional models through the lenses of cognitive development, learning theory, and research-based practice. Emphasis is placed on effective differentiation and evidence-based instructional strategies that promote academic success across varied learning contexts.
