Topics include symmetry and applications, bonding models, magnetism, synthesis of metal complexes, modern characterization techniques including IR, NMR, and electronic spectroscopy, organometallic compounds, reaction mechanisms, catalysis, and bioinorganic chemistry. Prerequisite: CHEM 2322 with a grade of C or better.
