The course provides graduate students with background, knowledge, technology, theory, and application on some "emerging topics" in environmental engineering fields, including water pollution, water and wastewater treatment, post-treatment issues, remediation of contaminated groundwater, soil and sediment, anaerobic processes for waste treatment and energy generation life cycle analysis and environmental impacts of energy.
