BE 5348. fMRI IN NEUROSCIENCE & NEUROENGINEERING. 3 Hours.

This course introduces the fundamental principles and applications of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in neuroscience and clinical research. Students will learn the physical and physiological bases of the fMRI signal, experimental design and task paradigms, data acquisition and preprocessing techniques, and statistical approaches to analyzing brain activation and connectivity. Prerequisite: Admission to a graduate program.
