A comprehensive study of basic data analysis, focused on reasoning process of statistical investigations from asking question and collecting data to analyzing data and drawing inferences. Topics include exploratory data analysis, sampling, sampling distribution, hypothesis tests, regression, and ANOVA. For projects, application will be drawn primarily from clinical and biomedical contexts, including pharmaceutical product testing, clinical studies, and medical implant evaluations. Students will gain hands-on experience with conventional biostatistical software (e.g., SPSS). Prerequisites: Grade C or better in MATH 2425.
