ASL 1441. BEGINNING AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE I. 4 hours. Introduction to the basic production (expressive skills) and comprehension (receptive skills) of American Sign Language (ASL). Includes the manual alphabet and numbers, develops conversational ability, introduces Deaf culture, and exposes students to ASL grammar.
