AREN 4315. CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY & APPLICATIONS. 3 Hours.
Practices and technologies for the manufacturing and property characterization of conventional concrete and concrete specially formulated for Civil Engineering applications. Emphasis will be given to both traditional empirical technological approaches, used so far, and modern principles of materials science. Laboratory sessions will provide hands-on experience on test methods using standards/codes for producing and evaluating the properties of concrete according to the performance specifications and criteria. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in AREN 2315; Admission to the AREN Professional Program.
