Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management

About This Program

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management is a specialized degree.  Students will gain skills and knowledge in staffing, compensation, training and development, employment law, and managing a diverse workforce. These skills are applicable in any industry and prepare students for jobs as HR Generalists or specialists in recruiting, compensation, training, diversity management and employee relations.

Competencies

  1. Upon completion students will be able to apply problem-solving and logical thinking in making business decisions.
  2. Upon completion students will demonstrate abilities in applying fundamental business concepts in a variety of business functions.
  3. Upon completion students will demonstrate effective written and oral communication related to human resource management.
  4. Upon completion students will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HR law and its implications for organizations.
  5. Upon completion students will demonstrate knowledge of HR processes including staffing, training and development, compensation, and performance management.

Students must meet all lower division requirements before enrolling for upper division courses. Specified prerequisites are designated for certain courses.
