About This Program
The Minor in Coaching and Youth Sports consists of 18 hours, six of which must be upper level.
Competencies
- Upon graduation, students will be able to develop, implement and supervise youth sport opportunities that support both physical and mental wellness.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and community supporters.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to teach life skills such as sportsmanship, discipline, and goal setting.

Program Completion
A 2.5 grade point average must be maintained for a student to remain in the minor.

Kinesiology students are advised to meet with an advisor each semester to discuss registration and academic progress. When admitted to the program students will receive email information pertaining to their degree plan.
