Minor in Drawing
About This Program
The Minor in Drawing prepares an art or non-art major to develop a practice that is based on the fundamentals of drawing while exploring conceptual ideas and the development of a personal stance and working methods. Students will learn proper techniques while utilizing a variety of tools.
Competencies
- Upon graduation, students will be able to illustrate an understanding of the fundamentals of drawing ranging from the use of line, space, texture, color, composition, perspective, value, and shape.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to display knowledge of the history of drawing and its place in contemporary art.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to create their own goals that satisfy both the technical approach to drawing and the conceptual building of an idea.
