Bachelors of Arts in Art
About This Program
The Bachelor of Arts in Art is of a general nature, suited to those whose current academic interests and/or prior work are directed toward a broad overview of art and its relationship to other disciplines. Areas of concentration in the BA in Art include: Design (Graphic Design, Web Design, App Design, and Illustration), Cinematic Arts (Filmmaking, Cinematic Animation, and Screenwriting), Interactive Media (Concept Art, 3D Modeling, 2D/3D Animation, Game Design, Interactive Experience Design), 3D Studio (Sculpture, Clay, and Glass), and 2D Studio (Drawing, Painting, Photography, and Printmaking).
Competencies
- Upon graduation, students will be able to demonstrate proficient use of elements and principles of design in their artwork.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to articulate and explain with proficiency the concepts and ideas present in their artwork.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to demonstrate proficient technical skills in their artwork.

Program Completion
BA in Art students must maintain a 2.5 GPA within the major and complete at least 18 credit hours of coursework toward a minor of the student's interest. Students are encouraged to select a minor that will further enhance their overall degree plan studies and ultimate career goals.
