Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Entrepreneurship
About This Program
The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Entrepreneurship provides students with skills and training in: identifying innovations and market opportunities, writing a business plan, obtaining funding, and launching a new company. The certificate enhances a student's general education, academic major and/or career preparation in innovation and entrepreneurship. All students will take a common course that will present the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Two additional courses will be taken, based on the students' interests, drawn from a list of approved courses across academic disciplines.
The certificate requires a total of nine semester credit hours of coursework, which can be completed in conjunction with an existing master’s or PhD degree in any field or independently as a special student.
Competencies
- Upon completion students will be able to identify business opportunities and access market needs.
- Upon completion students will be able to apply critical thinking, adaptability to navigate uncertainty in making business decisions.
- Upon completion students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of translating ideas into actionable business strategies.
Admissions Criteria
- Graduate students in good standing at UT Arlington may complete the certificate.
- Students not enrolled in a graduate program (special, certificate only students) must present for admission:
- a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, and
- a GPA of 3.0 for last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.

Program Completion
To receive the certificate, all courses must be completed at UT-Arlington. The cumulative grade point average must be 3.0 or higher.
