Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Nurse Educator Role
About This Program
The Nurse Educator Certificate Program prepares nurses with the core knowledge needed for those who desire to teach (in either academic or healthcare settings). While not as comprehensive as the MSN in Nursing Education, the certificate includes coursework from the essential content on nursing education including teaching strategies, assessment and evaluation, curriculum development, and the role of the nurse educator.
Competencies
- Upon completion, students will demonstrate expertise in teaching and evaluating nurse learners, developing nursing programs, courses, and curricula and positively impact the future of the nursing profession.
- Upon completion, students will facilitate learning by implementing a variety of teaching strategies as appropriate to learner needs and fostering learner development and socialization.
- Upon completion, students will able to use research and theoretical principles in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing education.
