About This Program

The Adult Gerontology Dual Nurse Practitioner Program prepares students to the acute and primary care nurse practitioner roles.  This program provides an expanded scope of practice and upon graduation students are eligible for national certification and licensure in both roles.

Admissions Criteria

Applicants must meet the admission criteria for the Master of Science in Nursing, including a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, within the last 5 years, in an acute care setting.  Students may not transfer into this program without having the required RN experience.
