Post-Master's Certificate in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

About This Program

Post-Master's Certificate in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner enables individuals with a Master’s Degree in Nursing to take a national certification exam to be recognized by the Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a specialization in adult gerontology acute care. Required courses will be determined by a gap analysis completed by the program director.

Competencies

  1. Upon completion, students will demonstrate competence in an advanced nursing role.
  2. Upon completion, students will participate in scholarly endeavors to advanced nursing knowledge.
  3. Upon completion, students will provide leadership in professional nursing and interdisciplinary health care.
