Minor in Political Science
About This Program
The Minor in Political Science complements a variety of majors within and outside the College of Liberal Arts. The political science minor provides students with foundational knowledge of politics, political behavior, and political decision making. It also helps students develop skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and effective communication.
Competencies
- Upon completion of the minor, students will be able to identify and describe political structures, rules, behaviors, and environments that shape political action.
- Upon completion of the minor, students will be able to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate political phenomena.
Curriculum
Select 6 hours of POLS classes at any level | 6 | |
Select 12 hours of POLS classes at the 3000/4000 level | 12 | |

Political Science classes may be used toward the major requirements or minor requirements (at the discretion of the department offering the minor), but not both.
