Minor in Printmaking
About This Program
The Minor in Printmaking emphasizes the exploration of ideas through active making and the investigation of the graphic aesthetic. The focus of courses is on the inventive and conceptual use of printmaking underscoring critical and contemporary issues in art; the tools that are learned are applicable to a range of practices.
Competencies
- Upon graduation, students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in studio foundation skills as they relate to the elements and principles of design, drawing, and printmaking.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to illustrate an understanding of printmaking skills appropriate to specific challenges of the creative process.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to skillfully use tools and materials that are unique to printmaking processes.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to conceive, design, and fabricate original work in a self-driven and proactive manner.
