Minor in Commercial Film Production

About This Program

The Art Minor in Commercial Film Production prepares an art or non-art major with technical skills in digital video production, concept development, and the application of the aesthetic abilities needed by students who want to work in commercial film industry.

Competencies

  1. Upon graduation, students will be able to demonstrate the ability to work with clients and produce commercially viable film projects.
  2. Upon graduation, students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in production scheduling, location shooting, marketing, and non-linear digital editing.
  3. Upon graduation, students will be able to illustrate narrative construction skills through writing, visual strategies, and editing technique.
