Resource and Energy Engineering Certificate
About This Program
The Certificate in Resource and Energy Engineering (REE) is intended for undergraduate students who want to supplement their major with content from this emerging engineering discipline. To receive a certificate in REE, a student must not be receiving his/her major degree in REE and must complete all courses listed with a grade of C or better in each course.
Competencies
- Upon completion of the certificate, the student should have developed the basic skills relevant for the field of resource and energy engineering from the fundamentals of fuels (including petroleum and gas) to systems-level interaction with sustainable energy sources.
- Upon completion of the certificate, the student should be able to apply this core knowledge to specific aspects of the current energy landscape.
- Upon completion of the certificate, the student should be able to solve problems related to conventional and renewable energy technologies.
Admissions Criteria
Admission to a College of Engineering major. Students in other majors who have the appropriate prerequisites should consult an REE advisor for admission to the certificate.
