Minor in Business Administration
About This Program
The Minor in Business Administration provides undergraduate students with a broad based introduction to fundamental business principles while allowing advanced study in particular areas of business interest.
Competencies
- Upon completion, students will gain a basic understanding of business across disciplines.
- Upon completion, students will demonstrate basic knowledge in specialized areas of business.
- Upon completion, students will have business skills that may be translated to various industries as a complement to their major field of study.

Prerequisites must be met before enrollment. A student should consider prerequisites, identified in the catalog, when selecting courses to satisfy the minor requirement.
ACCT 3309 ACCOUNTING FOR MANAGERS may not be used to satisfy any minor requirement.
Program Completion
The College of Business:
- Requires half of the coursework for a minor in business be completed in residence at UT Arlington. For an 18-hour minor requirement, this would require a minimum of 9 hours of business course work at UT Arlington.
- Requires a grade of C or better in all minor requirement courses.
- Will not use vocational and technical courses (including WECM courses) toward any business minor.
