SOCW 5323. PROGRAM EVALUATION. 3 Hours.
This course explores research, theory and evidence-based approaches to community practice. Content is focused on the development of skills for partnering with neighborhoods, communities, and groups to address community problems rooted in structural inequalities. Major topics include the politics of empowerment, mobilizing coalitions, locating resources, and mediating conflict. This course serves as a substitute for the required advanced research course, SOCW 5313. Prerequisite: SOCW 5308.
