This course explores, within the context of a strengths and empowerment based perspective, the bio-psycho-social development of persons from birth to death. It is strongly recommended that this course be taken before SOCW 3301. This course is required for Social Work Field Instruction and Seminar I (SOCW 4951). This course satisfies the University of Texas at Arlington core curriculum requirement in Social and Behavioral Sciences.
