Fracture mechanics; microscopic aspects of fracture, fatigue, and creep of materials; design and processing of materials for improved mechanical properties. Prerequisite: Must be in the professional ME or AE program and C or better in each of the following, MAE 2312 and MAE 3324; or student group.
