Concepts of Gene and genome in prokaryotes and eukaryotes; Gene regulation and epigenetics; Promoter architecture, transcription, mRNA processing and translation Histone modification, chromatin organization and non-coding RNA; Vitamins, hormones and Cell signaling; Transition states/Steady state; Pre-steady state kinetics; Mechanisms (ping-poing, bi-bi). Discuss current literature. Prerequisite: passing of ACS-test in Biochemistry.
