EE 4375. INTRODUCTION TO POWER ELECTRONICS. 3 Hours.

This course discuses conceptualization, analysis, and design of power electronics components, circuits, and systems. It discusses different classes of switching converters (dc-dc, ac-dc, dc-ac) and elements of power electronics (magnetic design, loads, and capacitors). Applications of power electronics in renewable energy systems and vehicular electronics are discussed. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in EE 2403 and EE 3446.
