CHEM 1342. GENERAL CHEMISTRY II. 3 Hours.

The lecture covers study of advanced atomic structure and bonding concepts, acid-base theory, kinetics and equilibria, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and the chemistry of some elements. Only chemistry majors in the Advanced Chemical Technologies program may take this course. When combined with CHEM 1182, this course will satisfy completion of CHEM 1442 for Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biological Chemistry majors. If a student withdraws from CHEM 1342, the student must also withdraw from CHEM 1182. Prerequisite: (CHEM 1341 with a grade of C or better) and (CHEM 1181 with a grade of C or better) and (concurrent enrollment in CHEM 1182).
