The nature and properties of materials used in civil engineering such as structural metals, concrete, timber, and bituminous materials. The engineering application and performance of materials are emphasized. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in either CHEM 1465 or CHEM 1442; Grade of C or better in CE 2313; concurrent enrollment in CE 3161 and Permission of the CE Chair or Admission to the CE Professional Program.
